See who banned, kicked or timed out someone
Find out which moderator banned, kicked or timed out a member: Discord’s audit log, plus a PeakBot mod log channel and warning record.
Last checked November 3, 2026
Discord's audit log shows who did it: Server Settings → Audit Log. Needs the View Audit Log permission. For a record that stays in a channel, turn on PeakBot's mod action log.
In Discord
- Open Server Settings → Audit Log
- Filter by action (for example Ban Member) or by the moderator
- Each entry shows who did it, to whom, when, and the reason if one was given
With PeakBot
Set your log channels on the Auto Moderation page and switch on mod actions. Warns, bans, kicks, timeouts and unbans are posted there, so the history stays readable in a channel.
Warnings are stored per member too: /warnings list shows someone's record, even after they leave. See Moderation.
Ask for a reason every time
Moderators can add a reason to /ban, /kick, /timeout and /warn. It shows in both the audit log and PeakBot's log, which is what makes either one useful later.
