Delete messages in bulk
Delete up to 100 recent messages at once with /purge, and why Discord will not let any bot bulk-delete messages older than 14 days.
Last checked November 3, 2026
Type /purge in the channel, with how many messages to delete. Up to 100 at a time. Needs Manage Messages. Free.
Delete the last messages in a channel
/purge 50
This deletes the 50 most recent messages in the channel you type it in. Run it again to go further back.
Why older messages stay
Discord only lets bots bulk-delete messages that are less than 14 days old. That limit applies to every bot, not just PeakBot. Older messages have to be deleted one at a time, by hand.
Stop the spam coming back
If you are cleaning up after spam, switch on the filters on the Auto Moderation page so the next wave is deleted automatically. See Moderation.
