Welcome, roles and verification
What happens in the first minute after someone joins.

Three settings decide whether a new member sticks: what they see, what they can reach, and how fast they get there.
Welcome messages
Dashboard → Welcome Messages.
- Post to a channel, DM the new member, or both. The DM needs a Paid plan
- Plain text or a rich embed with your own title, colour, footer, thumbnail and image
- Attach an image. Needs a Paid plan
- Show who invited them, if Invite Tracker is on
- Send a test to yourself before it goes live
Placeholders you can use in the text:
| Placeholder | What it becomes |
|---|---|
{user} | A mention of the member who joined |
{server} | Your server name |
{memberCount} | How many members you now have |
Goodbye messages work the same way and are set up on the same page.
Roles
Dashboard → Roles. Every role automation in one place: roles given automatically on join, roles members pick themselves, and custom if/then rules.
PeakBot's own role has to sit above anything it hands out. If a role is not being given, this is almost always why: Discord blocks a bot from assigning a role higher than its own.
Verification
Dashboard → Verification. New members get an unverified role and see nothing until they pass.
- Post a verification panel with your own message and button
- Add questions if a button is not enough
- Set the verified role they get on success
- Optionally auto-kick anyone who has not verified after a set number of hours
- Log every attempt to a channel
