The best OwO bot alternative depends on what you liked about OwO. PokéMeow and Pokétwo are the closest match if you enjoyed catching and battling creatures, EPIC RPG, Dank Memer and Virtual Fisher suit players who liked the daily grind, Karuta fits collectors, and UnbelievaBoat or Mimu make sense when the server owner wants to run the economy instead of the bot.
Every bot below was checked against its own website, documentation or Discord App Directory listing in October 2026. Server counts are the figures the App Directory showed at the time, rounded.
What OwO does
OwO is a game bot that answers to the owo prefix. Players type owo hunt to catch animals for their zoo, build teams of pets and fight other players with owo battle, open lootboxes and weapon crates, and earn a currency called cowoncy. It also has gambling commands (slots, coinflip, a daily lottery and blackjack), social commands like hugs and pats, and leaderboards. Discord's App Directory lists it in about 5.15 million servers with the line "Hunt and battle your animals to the top of the leaderboards!", so it is very much active. The command details here come from the community-run OwO wiki, which is the fullest public reference for the bot's gameplay.
Why servers look for an OwO alternative
OwO is popular for good reasons, so people who replace it usually do so because of fit, not quality:
- Channel noise. Hunting and battling is a steady stream of short commands and bot replies. In a chat-focused server that buries conversation unless the bot is kept to one channel.
- Gambling-style commands. Slots, coinflip, lottery and blackjack are part of OwO. Some communities, especially ones with younger members, would rather not host betting at all, even with a virtual currency.
- Who controls the economy. Cowoncy, pets and rankings belong to OwO's game. They are not a currency the server owner sets up to price its own roles, stock its own shop or reward its own events.
- Players want a new loop. After months of
owo hunt, people want something different: real Pokémon, anime cards, or an RPG with gear and areas to clear.

If you liked catching and battling
PokéMeow
PokéMeow is the nearest thing to OwO's hunt-and-battle loop, with Pokémon in place of OwO's animals. Its App Directory listing describes catching Pokémon, battling, clans, trading through a market, evolving Pokémon and hatching eggs, and it is listed in about 519,000 servers.
Best for: players who mostly used owo hunt and owo battle and want Pokémon plus a player market.
Pokétwo
Pokétwo works differently. Pokémon spawn at random in your server's channels and players catch them by naming them, then trade to grow their collection and battle friends for rewards. That is how its own App Directory listing describes it, and its rules and item guides live at docs.poketwo.net.
Best for: collectors who care more about the "catch them all" goal than about daily battles.
If you liked the grind
EPIC RPG
EPIC RPG is a long-running text RPG. Players start with rpg start or /start and then progress a character by repeating commands on cooldowns, the same check-in rhythm OwO players are used to. Its App Directory listing puts it in about 607,000 servers.
Best for: players who liked having a reason to check in regularly and want character progression instead of a zoo.
Dank Memer
Dank Memer now describes itself as "the largest in-app indie game on Discord": a global currency and fishing game with creatures to catch, items to collect, pets to raise, skill trees, and the option to rob your friends. Its website lists more than 100 fish species and farming, and says you do not need to buy anything to play. It is listed in about 8.82 million servers.
One caution: Dank Memer's own description includes wagering and gambling, so it does not solve a gambling concern. It suits servers that want a bigger and busier game than OwO, not a quieter one.
Virtual Fisher
Virtual Fisher is "a game you can play in your server focused on fishing": catch fish, sell them, buy upgrades and compete with friends. It has a narrower loop than OwO, which is the point. One mechanic is easier to keep in one channel and easier for new members to pick up. It is listed in about 425,000 servers.
If you liked collecting
Karuta
Karuta is a card bot with more than 90,000 anime characters, according to its App Directory listing. Cards drop in chat, players react to grab them, and the cards can be customized, upgraded and traded in what Karuta's site calls a global economy. It is listed in about 914,000 servers.
Best for: anime communities. For more bots in this space, our roundup of Discord bots for anime servers covers the wider field.
If the server should own the economy
UnbelievaBoat
UnbelievaBoat calls itself a customisable economy and game bot, and the difference from OwO is who is in charge. Each server gets its own bank and cash balances, income commands like work, crime and rob, a store you fill with your own items, and role income. It also has casino games (blackjack, roulette, higher-lower and others) plus some moderation commands. The free store holds 25 items; its paid premium removes that limit.
Best for: owners who want currency to buy server roles, event entries or perks they define.
Mimu
Mimu describes itself as a cute, aesthetic bot with a per-server currency, a shop system, autoresponders and custom commands, and welcome and leave messages. It is listed in about 4.05 million servers.
Best for: social and aesthetic servers that want a gentle economy tied to the server's look.

How to run any game bot without it taking over
Whichever bot you pick, the same setup keeps it fun instead of noisy:
- Give it one channel. Make a
#bot-gameschannel and say in your rules that game commands go there. - Limit slash commands in Server Settings > Integrations. Discord lets you choose which roles and channels can use each of a bot's slash commands, and a single command can be switched off for
@everyoneas an override. Grant your own role access first so you do not lock yourself out. - Handle prefix commands with channel permissions. OwO and EPIC RPG still answer to prefixes. Remove the bot's View Channel or Send Messages permission in channels where you do not want it, since a bot that cannot see or post in a channel cannot reply there.
- Decide on betting before launch. If you do not want gambling commands, read the bot's command list first. OwO, Dank Memer and UnbelievaBoat all include some form of betting.
If the real goal behind OwO was giving active members something to work toward, a leveling system does part of that job with far less channel noise. PeakBot's XP and leveling gives XP for messages and hands out roles at the levels you choose, and message XP, the cooldown and level roles are free (voice XP and multipliers need a paid plan). It is not a game, though, so members who want to collect and battle will still want one of the bots above.
FAQ
Is OwO bot still working in 2026?
Yes. OwO is listed in Discord's App Directory in about 5.15 million servers as of October 2026, and its prefix commands like owo hunt and owo battle are its core gameplay.
What is the closest bot to OwO?
PokéMeow is the closest for hunting and battling creatures. If you liked the cooldown grind more than the animals, EPIC RPG is the closer match.
Can I run OwO and another game bot in the same server?
Yes. They use different prefixes and commands, so they do not clash. Give each bot its own channel so the replies do not pile up in one place.
How do I stop game bots from spamming every channel?
Restrict slash commands per channel in Server Settings > Integrations, and remove a prefix bot's permission to view or post in channels where it does not belong. Pin a short note in the game channel so members know where commands go.
Are these OwO alternatives free?
Adding any of these bots to a server costs nothing. Most sell optional extras such as premium tiers or in-game items, so check each bot's own store page for what paying changes.
